The Spark That Started It All

Sana Srilakshmi Founder
Smt. S. N. Srilakshmi is the founder of Minchu IDEAS and a dedicated social worker committed to building a compassionate and value-based society. She holds a Diploma in Horology and later pursued a Master’s degree in Sociology, reflecting her deep interest in social development. She served as a temporary announcer at All India Radio, Bengaluru for 21 years and worked as a temporary lecturer in a Pre-University College for 10 years.
For more than three decades, she has actively worked with women in the Rajajinagar and Mahalakshmi Layout areas of Bengaluru, bringing together homemakers and inspiring them to participate in meaningful social initiatives. Through her leadership, these women collectively established Minchu IDEAS, engaging in activities that support children’s education, environmental awareness, and assistance for women and elderly communities.
Apart from her social work, painting is her passion. She has organized several art exhibitions and donates the proceeds to support the education of children associated with Minchu IDEAS.
Rekha Srinivas Founder
Rekha Srinivas holds a B.A. in Psychology and Education and is the Founder and President of Minchu, which she has been leading for over a decade. She has also completed her Junior Examination in Carnatic Music and is an Akashvani Graded Artist, reflecting her strong foundation in classical music. She initiated Swara Sambhrama and began composing songs that use music as a medium for learning. What started as music education in a few government schools gradually proved to be an effective way to engage and teach students. With its growing impact, the initiative expanded to several other government schools. Through dedication and community support, her work continues to positively influence young learners and communities.
